Telangana DSE has released the official date for the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TSTET) 2024. As per the official schedule, the TS TET 2024 Exam will be conducted between May 20 and June 03, 2024. For the very first time, authorities will be conducting the exam in online mode.
TSTET is a state-level exam conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana for shortlisting candidates who wish to pursue a career as a teacher under the Government of Telangana. One must give the TSTET to be eligible for a Teaching post in Primary and Secondary classes under the State Government. Candidates with a B.Ed. can appear for TSTET to beget teaching jobs at the primary and secondary levels of schooling.
The examination is conducted in two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is mainly for the aspirants who want to appear for the post of a primary school teacher while Paper 2 is for aspirants who are looking to get appointed as a secondary school teacher. Candidates can either appear for 1 or 2 or both based on their desire.
Candidates clearing only Paper-I are eligible to apply for teaching posts in the primary classes (1 to 5) and those who can clear Paper-II will be eligible for teaching in secondary sections (6 to 8).
The salary of a TS TET-qualified teacher depends on the type of school the candidate is selected to teach in and the classes offered to the candidate. This amount includes the basic pay, DA, HRA, and many other allowances. The other allowances cover accommodation allowances, medical expenses, etc. The state also provides different pension plans for retired teachers.
