Ram Lalla’s murti has been shifted to the sanctum sanctorum for the pran pratishtha ceremony to be held on January 22. There is one of its kind ‘Ram Bhakti wave’ flowing in the nation and every Hindu is celebrating the moment they have waited for years and years to come. On the other hand, we witness a barrage of media engaging in the derogation of Hindus and their revered deity, Bhagwan Ram. Under the title ‘Ramnami Journalism, Karsevak Journalism, and the Constitution’s Funeral’ within their show ‘NL Commentary,’ controversial news portal, NewsLaundry has uploaded a video on YouTube wherein they have disrespected Maharshi Narad, Hindu sadhus and sadhvis by morphing their images and replacing the faces with some famous TV journalists.

People have raised concerns about the thumbnail of this video, which insults Hindu deities. It features Anjana Om Kashyap of ‘Aaj Tak‘ portrayed in the attire of a female ascetic, with News18 journalist Amish Devgan portrayed as Maharshi Narad. Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is depicted as a sadhu.

In this video, NewsLaundry journalist Atul Chaurasia presents a discussion titled ‘Tea on the Stairs of Heaven,’ showing Jawaharlal Nehru, Rajendra Prasad, Veer Savarkar, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee listening to the news. Alongside, a radio broadcast mentions that India’s Prime Minister is touring mandirs, and Members of Parliament are being thrown out of Parliament. Subsequently, various news channels show Ram Bhajans playing. It is mentioned that Nehru is saying that mass murder by the media has been committed. NewsLaundry runs anti-Hindu propaganda with the slogan ‘Ram Teri Media Maili.’

Atul Chaurasia designates the Indian media as ‘Hindu Media’ in this video, showing footage from his van where an image of a mandir is superimposed. Atul Chaurasia emotionally states that India’s Prime Minister doesn’t care about the Constitution because he is feeding indigenous breed cows and going to temples. After this, propaganda against Shankaracharyas is spread in the name of two Shankaracharyas welcoming the pran prathishtha ceremony of the Ram mandir, but it is claimed that all four Shankaracharyas are against it.

Afterwards, everything is linked to Mahatma Gandhi, and his disrespect for Hindus is carried out. Simultaneously, allegations of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination are imposed on Veer Savarkar. Following this, concerns are raised about fake news in India, citing a foreign organisation’s reference. NewsLaundry laments about why Ram Mandir and Ram are receiving coverage. Subsequently, a melodramatic presentation is made about the demolition of the Babri structure. Congress’ boycott of the event is defended after this episode.

NewsLaundry has announced that the program related to the Ram Mandir is not representative of the entire Indian society. It has been labelled as ‘Modi’s Show,’ with no space allocated for other BJP leaders.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Solanki, the founder of the ‘Hindu IT Cell,’ has announced the intention to file a complaint against Newslaundry. He mentioned that his team is preparing a draft to file the complaint, along with other necessary documents. Famous X user and activist Mr. Sinha, who gained fame following the Maldives issue, commented that joking is fine, but making fun of Hindu deities cannot be justified. He questioned whether NewsLaundry can do the same with other religions.

Yes we are filing complaint against @newslaundry
Team is getting the draft and other documents ready@HinduITCell

Earlier this month, Hindu IT Cell also lodged a formal complaint against the controversial film, ‘Annapoorani’ for the propagation of religious conversion to Islam and Love Jihad. The makes following the complaint had to apologise and remove the film from OTT platforms until the concerned portions of the film get removed.
