Former Congress MLA, Mewaram Jain's Videos Leak Online After Woman Files Rape Case (FPJ)

FacebookTwitterWhatsAppTelegramEmail

Former Congress MLA Mewaram Jain, currently embroiled in a rape case, has once again made headlines as two videos featuring the ex-Barmer MLA have surfaced on the internet. The videos are believed to be connected to the ongoing rape case against Mewaram Jain. The former Congress leader is already facing serious allegations after a woman accused him and eight others of rape.

The emergence of these videos follows closely after a woman filed a rape case against nine individuals, including Mewaram Jain. In her complaint, the woman detailed accusations of rape against the former MLA, claiming he also molested her in the presence of her minor daughter. The FIR mentioned two obscene videos related to the incident, and the circulating videos are believed to be connected to these allegations.

Approximately 15 days ago, the rape victim filed a case at Rajiv Nagar police station in Jodhpur, accusing Mewaram Jain and his associate Ramswaroop Acharya of rape and engaging in indecent acts with her 15-year-old minor daughter. Alongside them, seven others, including RPS, were implicated in the case, enduring continuous torture.

Following the filing of the case, the victim underwent a medical examination, and her statement was recorded.

Simultaneously, Mewaram Jain sought refuge in the court regarding the matter. The High Court subsequently provided relief, issuing a stay on the arrest until January 25. Additionally, instructions were given to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

The victim, in her filed report, mentioned the presence of two explicit videos. According to the report, the former MLA, Mewaram Jain, had recorded a video during the act of rape. The victim detailed that after enduring sexual assault from Jain and Ram Swaroop, they coerced her into involving other 15- to 16-year-old girls and pressuring them into establishing relations. Videos were purportedly made, documenting the coercion and subsequent sexual encounters. The victim asserted that Jain, upon entering her residence, also raped her friend, capturing the act on video. Both videos were said to be stored on a pen drive.

These videos were explicitly cited in the FIR against the former Congress MLA, where the victim accused Mewaram of rape and molestation in front of her daughter.

In her report, the woman discredited cases filed by former MLA Mewaram through Ramswaroop Acharya, labeling them as false. She recounted an incident on November 29, 2022, when Barmer Kotwali police officers, along with Dayal, took her to a farmhouse under false pretenses, where she was physically assaulted by several individuals, including police officers and individuals associated with Mewaram Jain.

The victim alleged that they were beaten, stripped, and subjected to severe torture, including the insertion of wood in their private parts. Coercion, threats, and blackmail ensued, leading to the signing of blank papers under duress.

The victim claimed that she and others were detained in Barmer’s Kotwali police station, where further beatings occurred. DSP Anandsingh Rajpurohit, former MLA Mewaram Jain, and Ram Swaroop allegedly threatened the victim, warning against disclosing the rape incident and torture, asserting that failure to comply would result in harm.

The victim expressed ongoing threats to her life, her family, and witnesses from Mewaram Jain, Ramswaroop Acharya, and others, prompting a demand for security.

In the report, the victim accused Jain and Ramswaroop of multiple instances of rape, including an incident in a Barmer hotel. When the victim sought to register a case in the Kotwali police station of Barmer upon discovering what happened to her daughter, she claimed to face further torture and obstruction by police officers, SI, and RPS officers. The victim also alleged that the police officers created obstacles and issued threats during the case registration process.

Following the woman’s complaint, the police filed a case against former MLA Mewaram Jain, along with RPS Anand Singh Rajpurohit, Kotwali police station officer Gangaram Khawa, SI Dawood Khan, Ram Swaroop Acharya, Deputy Chairman Surtan Singh, Pradhan Girdhar Singh Sodha, Praveen Sethia, and Gopal Singh Rajpurohit for investigation.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla took to his official social media account to share a video, launching an attack on former Congress MLA Mewaram Jain and posing questions to top leaders of the Congress party.

In his critique of the Congress party, Shehzad directed questions to Priyanka Gandhi, asking if she would visit the victims of Mewaram. He also questioned Congress leader Supriya Shrinate, inquiring if she would raise her voice about the alleged rape of underage girls.

Shehzad further targeted Alt-News co-founder, Zubair, questioning whether he would fact-check the situation or remain silent. Sharing the video on his social media, he described Mewaram as the “Jeffery Epstein of Congress,” accusing the party of harboring individuals involved in misconduct.

Meanwhile, former MLA Mevaram Jain, when faced with accusations, filed a case of blackmail at the Kotwali police station in Barmer on October 30. He alleged that a gang, including Dayalram, Shailendra Arora, and another woman, had been blackmailing him, threatening to defame him through edited photos and clips on social media. The gang demanded Rs 10 lakh, threatening to register a rape case if the amount was not paid.
