In yet another tragic instance of violence against minorities in Pakistan, a 19-year-old Hindu girl endured a harrowing ordeal, ultimately culminating in her brutal rape and murder. The incident took place in the remote area of Qasim Wala Bangla, situated in the Cholistan desert, as reported by The News International.

As per a report by Hindu Post, a spokesperson from the Derawer Police Station confirmed that three individuals have been apprehended in connection to the crime. The comprehensive details of this horrifying incident are expected to be revealed in the pending postmortem report.

The victim’s father disclosed that his daughter was abducted while she was relieving herself in the desert late at night, a simple act that should never cost someone their life.

Tragically, the lifeless body of the young girl was discovered near the Bhutta Canal on a fateful Thursday, October 5th, 2023.

This incident further highlights the escalating concern regarding the coerced conversion, sexual assault, and forced unions of Hindu women in Pakistan, inciting global condemnation. The injustices perpetrated against religious minorities within Pakistan are discriminatory and regrettably do not receive adequate international attention.

Alarmingly, within the initial two months of 2023, regional news channels in Pakistan reported no less than 42 instances of atrocities against Hindus. These reprehensible acts encompassed abductions, gang rapes, forced conversions, and even mob violence, among a host of other appalling offences.

The Voice of Pakistan Minority, an advocacy group, disclosed that in January alone, six cases of abduction, forced conversion, and marriage were documented in local media. February saw an additional five cases of a similar nature. The record also reveals that at least nine cases involved the tragic discovery of Hindu victims deceased, while at least four cases were classified as outright murder.

According to ANI, earlier this year, Hindu rights activist Mahesh Vasu submitted a distressing report to the Ministry of External Affairs. This report documented as many as 96 cases of abduction, forced conversion, marriage, and gang rape of women belonging to Pakistan’s minority communities.
