“Sudarshan Ji used to say that the farmers of this country can provide an alternative to petrol and diesel. Today, people believe that our country’s farmers can produce bioethanol. In the next two to three years, airplanes will run on fuel prepared by farmers. Our goal is to make Bharat the number one automobile manufacturing country in the world,” said Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways, in ‘Aadhar Infra Confluence 2023’, organised by Panchjanya on September 13, 2023, in New Delhi.

While answering a question on how he breaks his own record, Gadkari said, “Records are not made by me alone, it is due to the efforts of engineers and contractors. He said that he learnt coordination, harmony and tolerance in the in the organisational working of RSS & ABVP, where he worked in the initial days and he implemented it in his work.

“For those who are talking about destroying Sanatan Dharma, I would say that Sanatan Dharma has been there since eternal times and propagation of Sanatan will continue ”– Dr Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister, Goa

The Minister said that electric highways are being constructed in the country, and even trucks will run on electricity. He stated that protecting ecology and the environment are the main objective and urged everyone to be ready for transition from diesel to eco-friendly fuel.

Is there politics of waste or waste of politics in Delhi? Answering this question, he said, “I want to run cleanliness campaign, whether you interpret it politically or as cleanliness itself.”

Dr Pramod Sawant, Goa Chief Minister, in an engaging discussion with Prafulla Ketkar, Editor of Organiser and Hitesh Shankar, Editor of Panchjanya at the event

“Earlier we used to talk about Bharat, from Kashmir to Kanyakumar, in speeches. Today, the Government has built roads from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, making it easy for anyone to travel. He stated that he works for everyone in terms of development. No right work should be stopped, and no wrong work should be allowed to happen; this is what he has learned from the Sangh,” he added.

Gadkari further said that he works on three formulas: Corporation, Communication, and Cooperation. He said that building roads would benefit farmers, provide employment, lead to economic development, and increase GDP. He said that by the end of 2024, Bharat will be equal to the US in terms of road transport. He also stated that his aim is to make Bharat an automobile manufacturing hub, providing jobs to millions of youths. We will export vehicles to other countries. Also, we will not be the importer of energy. Even we will export Hydrogen to the world. He also mentioned that due to better roads, the number of pilgrims will increase fourfold, and their efforts are to ensure better roads to all pilgrimage sites.

Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said, “Development happens when the state government gets support from the Union Government. Congress government had stopped projects in Goa. When the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in 2014, all the projects restarted and 90 per cent of them have been completed so far. Rest of the projects will be completed soon. This is the benefit of a double-engine government. We had formed a committee on the demolition of Hindu temples by the Portuguese and the report will come soon. About one thousand temples were demolished. We are trying to build new temples.”

Speaking on I.N.D.I.A, he said, “Changing your name does not change your policy, changing your name does not change your intentions, changing your name does not change your actions. I.N.D.I.A. has insulted Sanatan Dharma. For those, who are talking about destroying Sanatan Dharma, I would say that Sanatan Dharma has been coming from eternal times and the propagation of Sanatan will continue.” He said that the British, Mughals, and Portuguese came and went. “No one could able to destroy Sanatan. They were destroyed. Therefore, those who are talking about destroying Sanatan will be destroyed. Sanatan never disrespected other faiths and gave all kinds of respect. This is what Sanatan has taught us.”

“There is a rise in temperature due to climate change. But, Bharat’s contribution to it is only 5 per cent despite being 17 per cent of the world’s population”-RK Singh, Minister of Power

Dr Pramod Sawant said, “Goa was also known as Gomantak Pradesh. It is not just the Portuguese who have a history there. Earlier, many people including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj promoted the culture of Goa. It is very important to mention their history too. He said that Goa is the first in the country to follow Uniform Civil Code and people from all faiths live together there.

The first session of the confluence was addressed by RK Singh, Minister of Power, who said, “Till solar energy and wind energy are not stored, there will be no 24/7 work. Therefore, storage is necessary. This is also a fact that storage costs are very high. The rate is ten rupees per kg. We tell developed countries, what have you done regarding climate change? We are doing this work. Still, there are many challenges in front of us.”

He said that there is a rise in temperature due to climate change. But, Bharat’s contribution to it is only 5 per cent despite being 17 per cent of the world’s population. Notably, many eminent personalities, who have worked in the area of infrastructure development, participated in panel discussion.
