BJP’s Amit Malviya hits back at Sachin Pilot over fake claims defending his father in Mizoram Bombings

BJP IT Chief Amit Malviya lashed at Sachin Pilot and said that the latter should take action if any at Shekehar Gupta of Indian express who had mentioned in a report published in 2011 in which he had spoken about the alleged involvement of late Rajesh Pilot and Suresh Kalmadi’s role in Mizoram Bombings

Daggers are drawn between Bharatiya Janata Party IT Head, Amit Malviya and Congress leader Sachin Pilot over the former’s claim that the late Rajesh Pilot was involved in the Aizawl bombings in which many people lost their lives.

The Aizawl bombings were apparently done on the directives of the then PM of India, Indira Gandhi. According to the reports in the media, Indira Gandhi suitably rewarded them by inducting the two in her own Ministry.

Row sparked between Amit Malviya and Sachin pilot after the latter shared a video in which it has been alleged that Rajesh Pilot and Suresh Kalmadi were responsible for the killing of  a number of people of Mizo National Front.

In wake of the attack made by Sachin Pilot at Malviya for spreading wrong information, Amit Malviya cleared the air and added that this information was brought forth by Shekhar Gupta in 2011 and later in 2020, he retweeted similar information and it was shared by other media groups also. Therefore, Pilot should take action against Shekhar Gupta.

.@SachinPilot Ji,

In 2011, Indian Express and Shekhar Gupta mentioned that Rajesh Pilot was involved in Mizoram air strike.

Later in 2020 Shekhar tweeted the same.

However, Malviya’s claim did not  go down very well with Congress leader Sachin Pilot who is also the son of late Rajesh Pilot. Sachin Pilot took to twitter where he claimed that apparently his father was commissioned in the Indian Air Force on October 29, 1966 while the Mizoram bombings happened on March 5, 1966. Sachin Pilot also shared the image of the certificate.

Report of Indian Express mentions Rajesh Pilot’s Role in Mizoram Bombings

Meanwhile, it has been found that a similar claim about Rajesh Pilot’s role in the Mizoram bombing was made by Shekhar Gupta of Indian Express. Rajesh Pilot’s and Suresh Kalmadi’s role in Mizoram bombing was found out by Assam Govt’s fact finding committee.

The then Assam government  had deputed two MLA’s Stanley DD Nichols Roy and Hoover H Hynniewta and Lok Sabha MP from Shillong, G G Swell. The team in its report mentioned that Rajesh Pilot ad Kalmadi were involved in the dropping of bombs. This claim was endorsed by Denghunua, who was a retired senior IAS.

In 2011, Times Of India reported Mizoram Bombings

The claim of Rajesh Pilot, Kalmadi dropping bomb was made by Assam Govt's fact finding committee.

Same claim was made by @ShekharGupta in 2011. Even Newslaundry and fact check website Boomlive hv reported the same https://t.co/NGl4NocAhz pic.twitter.com/spnJ74oPI9

PM Modi Mentioned about Mizoram Bombings in his speech on no-confidence motion

Recently, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Lok Sabha and responding to the no-confidence motion had spoken about March 5, 1966 atrocities that were committed by the Congress government. It was on this day that Indira Gandhi had ordered the Indian Air Force to drop bombs on the Mizos as they had taken up arms against the government after it failed to address their problems that arose due to the famine.

A large number of people lost their lives and this matter was not reported in the media as it was under the control of the then Congress government.
