Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan arrived at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan on July 29 and inaugurated the All India Education Convention on the occasion of the completion of three years of National Education Policy-2020.

While addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “From Kashi’s Rudraksha to this Mandapam of modern India, the journey of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam holds a message in it. That is a confluence of antiquity and modernity. Our education system is preserving India’s traditions while the country is also moving forward in modern science and technology…”

Highlighting the importance of the New Education Policy, PM Modi stated, “The NEP has given importance of traditional knowledge system to futuristic technology in a balanced way…To strengthen the research ecosystem, the country’s educationists have worked very hard…Our students are well aware of the new arrangements, they know that instead of a 10+2 education system, a 5+3+3+4 is being brought…”

He further stated, “…It is education that has the power to change the destiny of the country. Education has an important role in achieving the target with which the country is moving forward…You are the representative of this…It is an important opportunity for me as well to be a part of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam…”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the first instalment of the funds for schools under the PM Shri scheme. The schools under this scheme will nurture students in a way that they become more productive and responsible citizens and also help in building an equitable, inclusive, and plural society as has been envisaged by National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
