On May 28 and 29, we lost two daughters at the hands of Islamists. One was killed in the capital city of the country while the other was killed a few kilometres ahead in Uttar Pradesh. While Sakshi was butchered to death by Sahil in Delhi, pregnant Dalit woman Seema met the same fate in Shahjahanpur, UP.

The internet and the web portals are flooded with the details of Sakshi’s murder. Let me take you to the details of the murder of the other daughter we lost on May 28.

The woman has been identified as Seema Gautam while her live-in partner has been identified as Mohammad Naved, who was accompanied by his friends Mustakeem and Farhad Khan.

All these accused have been booked under IPC sections 328 (causing hurt by means of poison), 304 (causing death by negligence), 419 (cheating by personation), 120B (criminal conspiracy),  354d (stalking) and sections 3, 5(1) of the Uttar Pradesh freedom of religion act and section 3(2)(v) of the Prevention of Atrocities Act, also called as the SC-ST Act.

The additional Superintendent of Police, Sudheer Jaiswal in a press statement said, based of the complaint of the victim’s family a First Information Report (number–360/2023) was registered at the Roza police station on May 28. Following the complaint the police arrested two of the named accused in the FIR Mohammad Naved and Farhaad Khan.

He added, Mohammad Naved is a native of Lakhimpur Kheri and works at a Jio mobile shop in Shahjahanpur. During the interrogation, he accepted that he was in a live-in relationship with victim Seema for the past year. He had introduced Seema among his people as Zoya Siddiqui. Two days ago, they admitted Seema alias Zoya at the Sadar Hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared her dead.

During the post-mortem, it was also revealed that the woman was pregnant. Further investigation into the case is underway.

As per the FIR, the victim’s brother Vijay Kumar told the police that, he is native to Nagla–Paliya village near Kheri district. His sister Seema Gautam used to work at the SFI Charitable Mohammadi (Sehdeva) Trust and used to live at Mustakeem Ali’s house on rent.

It is there she met Naved, who trapped her by faking his identity. He was accompanied by Mustakeem and  Farhaad. They sexually exploited the complainant’s sister and recorded their intimate video. Soon, she became pregnant, and then they wanted her to convert to Islam. The complainant said, his sister became a victim of ‘Love Jihad’.

After learning about the pregnancy, Naved wanted to take her to some cleric, the victim however informed her parents about it. When Naved found the truth, he gave a poisonous substance to Seema as a result she died. Seema was just 21 years old. All the accused named in the FIR are equally responsible for the crime, concluded the FIR.

On May 30, Vijay Kumar while speaking with Organiser told, Seema never sent money to the family saying, she pays her education fee. She was pursuing her diploma in nursing from Shahjahanpur. She also worked at the Mohammadi Charitable Trust, she never told them that, she was staying at a Muslim’s house.

Vijay Kumar has a younger brother and a sister, other than Seema. They both are studying while he takes tuition at the village. His father works as a labourer and they come from a lower middle-class family.

He says, ‘My sister was brainwashed Mam like many other girls in the country. She also broke our trust and look where she landed.’

Asked if knows what Love Jihad is, he said, Muslim men trapping Hindu women faking their names for conversion or killing like this is Love Jihad. He said, he heard about the brutal murder of a girl in Delhi and he also remembers what happened with Shraddha Walker, who was chopped into 35 pieces by live-in partner Aftab Poonawala.

They belong to the SC category, adding to which he said, there is a separate Muslim mohalla in their village, the accused was unknown to them, although he too is a resident of Lakhimpur Kheri.

While speaking with the media, Seema’s mother said, ‘These Muslim men somehow manage to trap the Hindu women and later kill them like my daughter. The accused should be punished, I had no idea what was happening in my daughter’s life or else I would have rescued her from this mess.’

Notably, in the Sakshi murder case, it has come to light that the accused Sahil posed as a Hindu Sunny to trap the minor and lure her into a relationship with him. Pictures of him wearing Kalawa and Rudraksha chains are going viral on social media.

Also, ever since the victim found out about his true identity she started distancing herself and this triggered the accused who stabbed and butchered her to death.

Sahil was upset over the victim’s decision to end their relationship. He was angry because the two had stopped talking to each other, which eventually led him to brutally attack and kill her, according to a preliminary probe.
