Smt J Leelabai, mother of J Nandakumar, senior RSS pracharak and national convenor Prajna Pravah, passed away on March 11, 2023. She was 85 years old. Smt Leelabai was admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvalla, Kerala due to age-related ailments. Her cremation was held at K N Sadanam, Pandalam on March 12.

Shri Nandakumar who was attending Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha in Samalkha, Haryana, had to return to Kerala after his mother’s condition worsened. Informing about her sad demise, Shri Nandakumar wrote on Twitter: “I couldn’t see Her one more last time before she left for the heavenly abode… My mother, Smt. Leelabai, my eternal source of love, caring, inspiration and courage, attained Vishnupada tonight.”

An ever-smiling and affable personality, Smt Leelabai was the loving “Amma” for innumerable swayamsevaks who used to flock to Shri Nandakumar’s house which was the nerve centre of Sangh work in the area. There would be no one who wouldn’t have enjoyed her motherly care, affection and generous hospitality. She was the epitome of motherly grace who used to take personal interest in the wellbeing of everyone around her. For thousands of swayamsevaks, her demise is a personal loss, reported ‘Indusscrolls’ about her.

Organiser family extends heartfelt condolences to Shri Nandakumar and his elder brother Shri J Krishnakumar. May her soul attain moksha. May Bhagwan give strength to her family.
