A nation’s culture resides in the heart and soul of its people. The more we are aware of our texts and stories, the stronger we represent our heritage.

Representing this, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Limited Events will present Sivoham- the Sapta Tandava of Bhagwan Shiva, where he dances in different contexts and moods. The contexts and the stories related to each Tandava will be presented enriching the cultural experience of the audience.

The programme will be organised at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, West Kensington on February 24, 2023, presented by Sanskriti Centre for Cultural Excellence.

The programme raises awareness of our centuries old lyrical compositions through which various aspects of Bhagwan Shiv are highlighted.

Prolific author Amish Tripathi will speak on the attributes of Bhagwan Shiv and his relevance in the modern world.

It will be an enriching experience with a rich tapestry of heritage and arts diversity. The occasion also highlights important centuries-old works by different composers, raising awareness of intangible heritage of India coinciding with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.

The event will be in sanskrit and English language. The programme’s proceeds will go to charitable causes.

The main performers at the event are Yogindra Maravanthe, Ragasudha Vinjamuri, Dr Pritha Dasmahapatra, Shivani Bhandari, Manju Sunil, Arya Arun, Kopal Vedam, Raja Masilamani.

Presenting artists have been actively performing and promoting Yakshagana, Odissi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Mohiniattam and Kuchipudi dance forms across different parts of the United Kingdom.
