Arctech, the world’s leading tracking, racking, and BIPV solutions provider, announced the grand opening of its first joint venture manufacturing base in India, Jash Energy it’s reaching the 3.5 GW shipment milestone in the regional market.

At the event, Shail Shah, Director of Jash Energy; Gail Chen, General Manager of East Asia and India at Arctech, Director and CEO of Jash Energy; Amit Herekar, Senior Sales Manager at Arctech, and Ganesh Rai, Head of Technical Sales at Arctech gave speeches on topics including the positive effect that Jash Energy will bring to the regional solar industry as the first factory dedicated to the solar tracker in the country, the advanced technology of the Arctech’s solar tracking and racking solutions and Arctech’s white-glove customer services empowering clients throughout the full lifecycle of tracker systems.

Arctech is well-acclaimed for its signature solar tracker with patented torque tube design and the multipoint drive mechanism. Hence the manufacturing base is particularly facilitated by the industrial advanced automatic production line for Arctech’s patented torque tube allowing for better performance in solar trackers’ stiffness. Arctech also introduced the latest innovation with Arctech’s multi point drive mechanism legacy, SkyWings, the world’s first dual row solar tracker
with multi-point drive mechanism allowed by patented bidirectional slew drives to enhance solar tracker’s adaptability to difficult topographies.

With its long-lasting dedication to deepening the market penetration in India, the official launch of the factory marks that the company now is capable of encompassing the full lifecycle of tracker systems including structural, mechanical and electrical design as well as construction, operation and maintenance in the country.

The company also celebrated its historical shipment momentum in the region reaching 3.5GW recently. According to Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables, Arctech holds the No. 1 position for solar trackers in India in 2020 and a 45% market share in 2021

“Arctech has always seen the Indian market as our second home base. We have shipped more than 3.5GW of tracking and racking products to India in the last few years. By having this local production plant, we can guarantee a shorter delivery timeline, quicker response to needs, and most of all, a more competitive pricing strategy. We believe the JV factory will bring more benefits to our customers” said Gail Chen, General Manager of East Asia and India at Arctech, Director and CEO of Jash Energy.

“One of the major challenges during the solar plant construction is the global disruption of the supply chain due to COVID-19. As a result, the costs of steel, cement, and other materials drastically increased. Hence, completing the project on time and without cost overrun was the biggest challenge that we faced. I am glad we finally overcome it with the set-up of the JV factory.” said Shail Shah, Director of Jash Energy
