Uttarakhand Government to give land for North East guest house to sell Nagaland products

New Delhi: After Uttar Pradesh, BJP national vice president and a senior Naga politician, M Chuba Ao, is now busy scouting for sale outlets for Nagaland agri products in Uttarakhand.

He called upon Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at Dehradun on June 18 and discussed opening of Marcofed Vandhan product outlets in key tourist destinations in Uttarakhand.

The Uttarakhand Chief Minister has agreed to the proposal, Chuba Ao said.

The BJP government in Uttar Pradesh last month agreed to boost the marketing network of Nagaland government-run PSU MARCOFED.

The Nagaland State Co-operative Marketing & Consumers’ Federation Ltd is popularly known as MARCOFED and it is  an apex co-operative institution for marketing of agricultural products.

Its chairman is BJP national vice president M Chuba Ao.

The assurance on behalf of the UP government was given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath when Chuba Ao had met him last month.

“My meeting with Chief Minister Dhami was fruitful. We discussed Marcofed Vandhan marketing
matters and I am happy to inform that he has agreed to implement the proposal,” Chuba told
this scribe.

He also said, “Dehradun is a key place where many central government institutions are there and so many North East students are studying. There must a North East guest house required for the people. CM assured that he will give land for construction,” Chuba said.

Chuba is also BJP national in-charge for Meghalaya. The state polls in the northeast are due in Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura by Feb-March 2023.

MARCOFED functions through its Head Office in Dimapur, Nagaland with two branch offices as MARCOFED LPG Service at Kohima and Phek district.

Also there are Marketing complexes/ Godowns and commercial buildings located in Tuensang, Longkhim, Mon, Pfutsero, Phek, Medziephema, Jalukie, Wokha and in and around Dimapur District.
