The Passing out Parade of 32 Naval Orientation Course (Extended), 34 Naval Orientation Course (Regular and Coast Guard), 35 Naval Orientation Course (Regular) was held at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, on May 28, 2022. The Parade was reviewed by Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff who awarded medals to meritorious Midshipmen and Cadets on completion of the Ceremonial Review. The CNS congratulated the trainees on Parade for their impeccable turn out, smart drill and movements on parade and emphasised on the core values of duty, honour and courage.
LAUNCH OF ‘NIRDESHAK’—SECOND VESSEL OF SURVEY VESSEL (LARGE) PROJECT
‘Nirdeshak, the second of the four Survey Vessels (Large) (SVL) Project being built by GRSE in collaboration with L&T shipbuilding for Indian Navy was launched on May 26, 2022 at Kattupalli, Chennai. The contract for building four SVL ships was signed between MoD and GRSE on October 30, 2018.
