Arunachal Pradesh: Union Home Minister Amit Shah lays foundation stone of 51 feet Lord Parshuram statue in Lohit

Itanagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday laid the foundation stone of a 51 feet bronze statue of Lord Parashuram at Parshuram Kund in Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh.  This statue is being installed on behalf of the Vipra Foundation.  At the same time, Amit Shah also unveiled a 6 feet replica of Parshuram ji, which was renovated and installed at the Parashuram Kund site.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah was accompanied by Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu, DepWuty Chief Minister Chowna Main, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and several state government ministers.  Famous sculptor Naresh Kumawat was also present in this function.  He is the one who is constructing this magnificent idol.  The statement said that under the Prasad Yojana of the Ministry of Tourism the area is being developed as a tourist destination.

The Vipra Foundation has become a major partner with the Center and the Arunachal Government in this project being developed under the Centre’s Prasad Yojana.  Prime Minister Modi himself is showing interest in developing Parashuram Kund as a major pilgrimage site of the country.  It was PM Modi who first sent Union Water Resources Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in 2021 to lay the foundation stone of Parashuram Kund development.
