Uttarakhand Cabinet Meet: Free medicine will be available in state hospitals, a target of employing 30000

The Uttarakhand cabinet approved the Uttarakhand Export Policy 2021 to increase the export target to 30000 crores in the next five years and create additional employment for 30000. 

 

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a cabinet meeting on Monday (December 6) and decided to provide free medicines to the general public in the state hospitals. Arrangements have also been made to purchase medicines by the department. The option of buying medicines from outside has also been given based on rates fixed by the Central Government in unavoidable circumstances.

Free medicines will be distributed to the public in Uttarakhand state hospitals. The doctor will have to write why a medicine not available in the hospital is prescribed.
 
To further strengthen the state's economy, the cabinet has approved the Uttarakhand Export Policy 2021 for the first time. A target has been set to increase the export target of 15900 crores fixed in 2020-21 to 30000 crores in the next five years and create additional employment for 30000. 

The cabinet has adopted a new system in MSMEs. Under this, only the District Authorized Committee constituted under the District Magistrate will decide on acceptance of investment proposals up to Rs 50 crore under MSME, which was previously fixed at Rs 10 crore. Investment proposals of more than 50 crores will be presented before the State Authorized Committee for approval.

The cabinet has made a provision to provide various reimbursement assistance to the foreign liquor manufacturing, bottling and brewery in hilly category A and B districts by including them in eligible activities. The maximum amount of Value Added Tax Reimbursement Assistance for him will be 125 per cent and a maximum of 25 per cent per annum of fixed capital investment for category A districts and 100 per cent and maximum 20 per cent per annum of fixed capital investment for category B districts.
