Vini Meshram and Manjiri Arde, Two women entrepreneurs hailing from Nagpur started off from a scratch to provide livelihood opportunities for marginalised women and make their bit towards strengthening the Indian economy

An entrepreneur with innovative ideas, Vini Meshram, is a success story. She is all for women's empowerment. As an employment generator, Vini Meshram has managed to give jobs to 45 women in her production team with the aim to provide livelihood opportunities and better remuneration.

Little wonder Vinni's good work is being emulated by her enthusiastic workforce. In her desire to fulfil her commitment towards women empowerment, Vini trained more than 1,000 women this year. She provided them with the requisite skill and knowledge in making different types of garments and helped them to market their products. Her company nowadays manufactures mineral and allied products floor cleaners. She started production of CARE shampoo in May 2013.

Interestingly, Vini became an entrepreneur in November 2016 under the name Prezen Enterprise which is known for producing decorative hanging lamps of metal and artistic objects of brass. These items make their way to various countries where she has discovered a demand for such products.

Her enterprise has received many national-level awards for quality products. Apart from aspiring to reach out to new markets, Vini's heart beats for the underprivileged. She is also into social service through the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She has conducted training and workshops, especially for girls and women, to stand on their own feet.

When the nation was battling with COVID-19, Vini rose to the occasion by actively participating in the distribution of ration kits to the marginalised communities. This was on behalf of the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce.
