The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) organised a nationwide protest today (October 20) to press the Bangladesh government into action and take necessary steps to protect Hindus.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) Wednesday (October 20) demanded that the Union government should talk tough to the Bangladesh government and should send a fact-finding team of MPs to Bangladesh to assess the situation on the ground.

The VHP today (October 20) organised a nationwide protest to demand action against the Islamists by the Sheikh Hasina government of Bangladesh.

Dr. Surendra Jain, Joint General Secretary of the VHP, said that the Jihadist atrocities and the persecution of minority Hindus in Bangladesh have crossed “all limits of barbarism”.

He said, “It is a challenge for the entire world community as to how to stop these barbaric persecutions in Bangladesh. The Government of Bharat can not shy away from its responsibility. The Government of Bangladesh should also fulfil its responsibility by ensuring the safety and security of life and property of all its citizens with complete fairness, objectivity and without any discrimination.”

Alerting the global community, the VHP said the world community should realise that the end of Hindus will be the end of the global civilisation.

Dr. Jain accused the Union government of going soft on Bangladesh. He said, “The Union government raises the issue of atrocities on Hindus in Pakistan and Afghanistan, but when it comes to Bangladesh, it goes soft.”

He also highlighted the hypocrisy of the pseudo-liberals, saying that the same people who raise their voices for justice in Palestine go, mum, when Jihadists persecute Hindus in Bangladesh.

The VHP also demanded that the CAA rules be framed immediately as it could be an effective tool to save the Hindus of Bangladesh.

Earlier, on Tuesday (October 19), the VHP had demanded that the UN should send the Peace Keeping Force in Bangladesh.

“The atrocities being committed by the radical Islamic Jihadists and fundamentalists on Hindus can only be compared with the brutality of the Nazis. There is no sign of a stop to the sequence of brutal atrocities against Hindus. Now the UNO should take the initiative in this matter and send its Peace Keeping Force to Bangladesh without any delay for the protection of the badly afflicted minority native Hindus there”, Dr. Surendra Jain, Joint General Secretary of the VHP, had said.

Accusing the Bangladesh government of being a mute spectator, Dr. Jain had added, “Instead of controlling the radical Jihadis, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh is advising the Government of Bharat that it should not allow any such incident to happen in Bharat/India that would inflame the Muslims in Bangladesh. After this statement of Sheikh Hasina, Muslim fundamentalists became more frenzied and the brutal atrocities on Hindus increased. The cycle of atrocities shows no sign of stopping yet.”

The Hindu population in Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) was 22% in 1951; from 18% in 1971 at the time of the creation of Bangladesh, it has now come down to just 7%.

Since Wednesday (October 13) last week, Muslim mobs are attacking the Durga pooja pandals and temples in Bangladesh. On Friday (October 15), when Hindus were celebrating Dussehra, a murderous Muslim mob vandalised the ISKCON temple in Noakhali and killed five devotees.

The VHP, in its press release, said, “In the last 10 days alone, over 150 Mother Durga Puja pandals have been destroyed and over 362 icons of deities demolished. Thousands of houses and shops of Hindus have been attacked and looted. More than 1,000 Hindus have been injured and till now 10 Hindus have also been reported dead.”
