Assam CM Dr. Sarma said that all 453 people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in illegal land broking activities and the state police would continue to take action against those who are harassing people in land revenue offices.

Guwahati: Assam police, in a massive statewide operation, arrested as many as 453 land 'dadals' involved in illegal land broking activities. This includes a few land revenue department officials too, who had nexus with the brokers.

On Tuesday (September 21), Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that all the 453 people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in illegal land broking activities.

Dr. Sarma further said that the state police would continue to take action against those who are harassing people in land revenue offices.

Taking to Twitter, chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "453 land brokers picked up so far in continuing raids by @assampolice in our concerted pledge to end #AssamFightsDalalRaj.
