India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crosses 58 crore 89 lakh mark

India has administered over 58 crore 89 lakh doses of COVID vaccine so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Union Health Ministry said, more than 63 lakh 85 thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The Ministry said, 39 thousand 486 Covid patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate has reached 97.68 per cent. Till now, more than three crore 17 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19.

 

The country reported 25 thousand 467 new cases in last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is at around three lakh 19 thousand. The active cases constitute less than one per cent of the total reported cases, which is the lowest since March last year. However, the daily positivity rate stands at 1.55 per cent. The Ministry said, around 51 crore COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
