All India Students Association (AISA) is the student wing of CPI (ML). Keshav Kumar, a BA Russian student (2018-21), has been accused of rape and sexual harassment and he is to go to Russia on a university scholarship for his masters.
A student leader of the Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi has been accused of rape and sexual harassment. Keshav Kumar, AISA student leader, is a student of BA final year.
After the charges against Keshav came to light, AISA distanced itself from Keshav and demanded strict action against him.
“He has accepted to being involved in intimate partner violence, attempted rape, clicking of objectionable photos of women without their consent and blackmailing them with this content in front of at least four of us in the batch,” said the BA (Russian) final year students in a statement.
It is further noted, “It is to be noted that not only is this person the SFC Representative of our batch, he is also being sent by our Centre on a scholarship through the Russian Embassy to pursue his masters in Russia in RUDN University, Moscow.”
Velentina Brahma, a JNU research scholar, tweeted “एक बार फिर @AISA_tweets का कुकर्म जेएनयू में सामने आया। छात्रा के साथ ना सिर्फ दुष्कर्म किया बल्कि वीडियो परिचालित किया। छात्रा चरित्र हनन और दुष्प्रभाव के चलते कंप्लेंट तक करने के असमर्थ।”
(Once again, an AISA student leader not only raped the victim but clicked intimate pictures and recorded videos without her consent and circulated it. Fearing character assassination, the victim is not even able to complain officially.)
