In yet another incident that exposes all the propaganda behind the Kerala model of healthcare, the latest reports suggest that Kerala’s COVID vaccination program was an utter failure. Presently, Kerala is the only state reporting more than 10,000 COVID cases per day and is contributing around 40% of cases to the national tally.

Due to the unavailability of Vaccine doses, People are unable to book slots from Public vaccination centres, but even if they are willing to pay money for doses, the vaccines are not available in private hospitals also. As per the estimates about 28 lakh people above the age of 45 are yet to receive a single dose of vaccine and 75 lakh people are waiting for their second dose.

From earlier also, there have been multiple compliant about the ruling CPM government in Kerala diverting the vaccines for their party members and leaders. At the grass-root level, the vaccine distribution is managed by local CPM leaders.

There are also accusations of special mobile apps being used to book all the slots once they are available at the COWIN portal. The spot registration opportunity is also used for only party members.
