BBC quoted the Italian prosecutor, “The suffering of the victims’ families cannot and must not be further exacerbated by actions like this”. But, the principles of Western media do not apply when they are reporting about India.
Racist BBC showed endless videos and photos of funeral pyres of the Covid-19 victims in India. And it never cared about the distress it would cause to the grieving families. And it never apologized.
But, BBC apologized when it showed the footage of footballer Christian Eriksen collapsing on the ground and receiving CPR.
The BBC duly reported on the fury that erupted in Italy after Rai, the country’s state broadcaster, aired video footage of a cable car disaster.
It quoted the prosecutor, Olimpia Bossi, “The suffering of the victims’ families cannot and must not be further exacerbated by actions like this”.
BBC wrote, “The prosecutor in the case spoke of the absolute inappropriateness of publishing the footage.”
It added, “The head of Rai TV said he was deeply shocked by the decision to show it.”
BBC cares about the sentiments when the victims are white and European.
Many other western media organizations too published photos and videos of the pyres of Covid-19 victims in India.
