Many vaccination centres in Delhi have been shut down for lack of vaccines. The vaccines in private hospitals are few and very costly. So, Delhi residents looked for a solution to get vaccinated.

They booked their slots in the neighbouring districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Delhi residents are traveling to Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut and Bilandshahr for vaccines as it is easy to find slots there.

The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has set a target of administering one crore Covid-19 vaccine doses under its “Mission June”. More than 6500 centres are operational to achieve the target.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the target of vaccination could be revised upwards after June 15.

He travelled to more than 45 districts in 18 divisions of the state to take stock of the situation.

On the contrary, even after the vaccine procurement was decentralised, the Delhi government did not place any order for about four weeks.
