The Opposition leaders in the country did everything to malign Kumbh as super-spreader of Covid-19, despite the evidence to the contrary.

The same Opposition, led by Congress party, has extended support to the nationwide protest by the protesting farmers on May 26.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha has called for a nationwide protest on May 26 to mark the six months of farmers’ protest against the three progressive agriculture laws passed by the Union government.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, HD Deve Gowda, Mamata banerjee, Uddhav Thackeray, MK Stalin, Hemant Soren, Farooq Abdullah, Akhilesh Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, D Raja and Sitaram Yechury issued a joint statement on Sunday in support of the protest.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal too extended support to the protesting farmers.

Thousands of farmers from Punjab reached the Tikri border Sunday for the protest.

There is no physical distancing at the protest sites and masks are a rare sight.

Punjab Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa had accepted in an interview with CNN News 18 that protesting farmers are spreading Covid-19 in Punjab’s villages.
