Rabid Islamist and Hinduphobe Sharjeel Usmani was Thursday booked by Maharashtra Police for outrageous tweets insulting Shri Ram.

This is not the first time Usmani has done this. He has a history of insulting Hindu Gods and Goddesses and hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.

The Maharashtra Police has registered an FIR under Indian Penal Code Section 295-A and provisions of the IT Act.
A volunteer of the Hindu Jagran Manch, Ambadas Ambhore, complained to the police.

Usmani tweeted on May 17 “A Hindu chanting Jai Shree Ram is most likely a terrorist.”

After a social media protest, he deleted the tweet.

On many occasions in the past too, Usman has abused the Hindu society.

Usmani is out on bail. In September last year, a court in Aligarh granted him bail in an anti-CAA riots case.

Son of a senior faculty member in Aligarh Muslim University, Usmani’s twitter timeline is full of tweets inciting communal hatred.

Usmani, too, was a student leader at AMU. Earlier he had raised a controversy saying Hindu society was rotten from inside.
