The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has taken multiple steps in the past few days to provide relief to people suffering from Covid-19.

The government announced that Remdesivir injection, an antiviral medicine, will be provided free of cost in government hospitals in the state.

In case of unavailability of the injection in private clinics, the local district administration will make arrangements for the injection.

In a big relief to the patients, the government announced that no hospital can turn away Covid-19 patients. The private hospitals will make arrangements for the extra bed and the government will pay the expenses.

The state government has set up 32 medical Oxygen plants in the last three years and work is being done to ensure there is enough Oxygen in every district.

Seventy two tankers are deployed for the transportation of medical Oxygen.

The Union government allotted 47 PSA Oxygen Generation Plants for Uttar Pradesh Sunday.

The government has cracked the whip on hoarders too. Anyone found involved hoarding medicines or Oxygen cylinders will be booked under the stringent provisions of the National Security Act.

To check the spread of the virus, the state government has announced weekend lockdown in the state. All the essential services are exempted from the lockdown.
