The Sarkaryavah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Shri Dattatreya Hosabole, exhorted the swayamsevaks to double down their efforts in the time of the pandemic.

Shri Hosabole said it was a very challenging time for the nation as the “infectiousness and severity” of the virus in this wave is very serious. As a result, the country is suffering.

He said, “The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, exhorts swayamsevaks and humbly appeals to social, religious and service institutions and organisations, and also people from the field of commerce and industry to come forward with a spirit of urgency and service to resolve the current challenges and leave no stone unturned in meeting any kind of shortages.”

The swayamsevaks of the RSS are involved in Seva Karya all over the country.

The schools run by the RSS are being used as isolation centres for the Covid patients. The volunteers of the Sangh Parivar are involved in distributing food items and other relief materials to the common people.

The Sarkaryavah also cautioned against the evil forces which will smell an opportunity in such testing times.
He said, “It is also possible that destructive and anti-Bharat forces in the society can take advantage of these adverse circumstances to create an atmosphere of negativity and mistrust in the country. The countrymen, apart from their positive efforts to resolve the situation, should also be cautious of the conspiracies of these destructive forces.”

Describing the power of social media these times, he said people should be very vigilant and spread positive messages.
People are using social media to reach out for help but also there are elements that are spreading rumours and fake news with the intention of creating chaos and panic.

Hosabole ji expressed his gratitude for the doctors, paramedics, sanitation workers and security forces who have been working round the clock, at great risk to their own lives, to discharge their duties.
