New Delhi. NIA Special Court Lucknow, pronounced judgement and convicted two accused persons namely i) Shiv Bhajan Gupta, and ii) Kuldeep Gupta under 489B , 489C and 120B of IPC and sentenced them to 04 years of imprisonment and Rs. 5000/- fine.
The case relates to seizure of Fake Indian Currency Note by STF UP on 24.08.2018 having face value of Rs 4,60,000/- from the possession of 04 accused persons namely 1) Shiv Bhajan Gupta, 2) Vivek Rajput @ Gurudev, 3) Kuldeep Gupta and 4) Rajneesh Yadav. An FIR was registered at PS- Hasanganj, Lucknow UP under section 489B & 489C of IPC in the matter. NIA re-registered the case on 18.09.2018 and took up the investigation.
Investigation has revealed that consignment of FICN, which was recovered from the 04 accused persons was supplied to them by one Abdul Salam who had procured the same from accused Jiyaul Haq. The aforesaid consignment of FICN was supplied to accused Jiyaul Haq by an accused Gazlu Mia R/o Bangladesh. After completion of the investigation, NIA filed Charge sheets against 6 accused persons.
Earlier on 23.03.2021, two accused persons 1) Vivek Rajput @ Gurudev and 2) Rajneesh Yadav were convicted by NIA Special Court, Lucknow and sentenced to 04 years of imprisonment along with a fine of Rs. 5000/-.
