In a shocking remark, M K Stalin’s son and DMK Youth Wing President Udhayanidhi Stalin Thursday accused the Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ‘killing’ BJP leaders Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj.

The families of BJP stalwarts Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj immediately expressed their displeasure over the remarks.

Jaitley’s daughter, Sonali Jaitley Bakshi, wrote on the microblogging platform Twitter not to insult the memory of her father. She tweeted, “ .@Udhaystalin ji, I know there is election pressure – but I won’t stay silent when you lie & disrespect my father’s memory. Dad @arunjaitley & Shri @narendramodi ji shared a special bond that was beyond politics. I pray you are lucky enough to know such friendship…”.

Daughter of Sushma Swaraj, Bansuri Swaraj, also took to Twitter to express her displeasure over the remarks.
She tweeted, “@udhaystalin ji please do not use my Mother’s memory for your poll propaganda! Your statements are false! PM @Narendramodi ji bestowed utmost respect and honour on my Mother. In our darkest hour PM and Party stood by us rock solid! Your statement has hurt us…”

Both Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj have been BJP stalwarts and served the party for long in many capacities.

Jaitley was suffering from cancer and passed away in August 2019. Swaraj passed away in 2019 because of a heart attack. She was on medication for long.
