In a terror attack in the valley on Thursday, four terrorists killed a policeman.
The policeman, Rameez Raja, was posted at the house of the Bharatiya Janata Party leader Mohammad Anwar Khan. Khan was not in the house when the attack happened.
Vijay Kumar, IG Kashmir, told the press, “Four Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists killed Rameez Raja. Two of them have been identified as locals.”
A terrorist in Burka knocked on the door of BJP leader Khan. Raza, thinking some woman is visiting Khan’s house, opened the door.
The moment the door was opened, three more terrorists attacked Raza. He sustained bullet injuries and later succumbed in the hospital.
The terrorists ran away with his rifle.
This is the third terrorist attack in the valley in one week.
The terrorists had opened fire on a CRPF vehicle in Srinagar last week. Three CRPF personnel were martyred.
In another terror attack in Sopore last week, two municipal councilors and one policeman were martyred.
