A Congress leader in Chhattisgarh brutally assaulted a woman Wednesday.
The woman’s crime?
Her four-year-old son had accidentally broken the number plate of the leader’s car.
Mangraj Sonkar, who is a Congress councillor in the Raipur district, could not take this insult.
His family members also beat the 4-year-old child.
The husband and neighbours of the woman remained mute spectators, as no one dared challenge the councillor.
After the video of the assault went viral, police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
The Congress party has been in power in Chhattisgarh since 2018.
