The Bharatiya Janata Party MP Arjun Singh alleged bombs were hurled at his office and residence in Jagaddal area of Bhatpara in North 24 Parganas.

Singh said more than a dozen bombs were hurled. He also alleged bombs were hurled at many other places by Trinamool goons.

The attackers also destroyed the CCTVs installed in the area.

Three people suffered injuries and have been admitted to the hospital. Singh also accused the police of inaction.

Mukul Roy, Vice-President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, said the party would move to the Election Commission to complain about the lawlessness prevailing in the state.

Other party leaders also criticised the TMC for violence.

Kailash Vijayvargiya, party in-charge in West Bengal, said the Trinamool Congress was synonymous with ‘politics of violence’. They are hurling bombs when the Model Code of Conduct is in place. He further added the Election Commission should take cognisance of it.
