Two terrorists killed, arms and ammunition recovered during the Anantnag encounter.

Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter that raged between security forces and militants in Kandipora village of Bijbehara belt in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday. The operation was suspended on Wednesday night due to darkness and resumed on Thursday morning.
Both the terrorists have not been identified yet. But both the terrorists killed are said to be related to the Jaish-e-Mohammed organization. The search operation by the security forces is going on due to the possibility of other terrorists in the area. Weapons and ammunition have also been recovered from the site of the encounter.
Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation
A joint team of Police, Army’s 3RR and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in that area. When the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them.
Terrorists were also asked to surrender
During this time, the security forces also asked the militants to surrender, but the militants disregarded the security forces and started firing, after which the encounter started. Firing continued on both sides till late in the night. The firing stopped late at night. During this time, the security forces laid siege and hardened so that the terrorists could not flee from the spot.
The encounter started once again on Thursday morning. One terrorist was killed by security forces earlier in the morning and now another terrorist has also been killed. Security forces have also recovered arms and ammunition along with the bodies of the terrorists.
