Mass Exodus from Mamata?s Party Continues, Five TMC MLA?s Join BJP

Hinting all is not well in the Trinamool Congress, five MLAs joined the Bharatiya Janata Party Monday.
Also, one TMC leader defected to the BJP camp days after she got the ticket to contest the upcoming assembly polls.
Salara Murmu has got the ticket from the Habibpur constituency.
Many other senior leaders of the party have resigned in the past few weeks. Dinesh Trivedi, a member of Rajya Sabha quit the party and joined the BJP. He accused Mamata Banerjee of favouring nepotism.
In another major development, the Bharatiya Janata Party wrested control of the Malda Zila Parishad after 23 of the Trinamool Congress members defected to the BJP.
The party had had six of the 38 seats. With the defection, its tally went up to 29.
One of the most prominent members of the Mamata government, Suvendhu Adhikari, had quit the cabinet and joined the BJP. He is contesting against Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram.
