ABVP students attacked by Leftist goons in 2019

Goons in the mask of students shattered the peace of Jawarharlal Nehru University on January 5, 2020. It was Red terrorism in the campus that led the violence in the peaceful JNU campus.

We ABVPians had dreamt of doing something for our nation even while studying and after completing our studies in JNU. But these Communist tore apart our flesh and bones. Later, they spread fake charges against us. But nothing matters for us when everything is about truth and facts that the whole wide world might want to know. We are concerned about security and life of our batchmates and the future students who dream of studying at JNU.

Narrating Woes

A student of JNU and an ABVP karyakarta who believes in India’s diverse culture conveyed his horrifying experiences that he had to go through at the hands of JNU’s Communist syndicate. He was very much present in the campus on January 5, 2020 that will be remembered as a black day in the history of JNU.

The student does not want to reveal his identity because he still senses the danger of having criticised the Reds and therefore feels unsafe in the campus. This feeling of insecurity is shared by many of us.

The eyewitness student says: “When I reached hostel on that day, the way people looked at me and behaved, I couldn’t figure out for a few minutes what was happening but then I am from ABVP. I clearly heard people saying Ye kaise bachgaya. I don’t understand what to feel now, angry, irritated, frustrated, low, hopeless, demoralised, demotivated or happy. I broke down after a really long time. I wept and that’s how my 2020 started. My tears make me feel good and free from baseless accusations. I wanted to shout the loudest that I’m an ABVPian.” Continuing his trauma, the students says: “We are bleeding, we are traumatised, we have still to recover from the shock. We are also humans. I never imagined I’ll have to run away from the campus that I once happily claimed as mine.”

Uprooting Urban Naxals

The aggrieved student says: “Either we die or live but will keep on fighting for the truth, for us ABVP JNU activists students lives matters. We will fight back the Urban Naxals till we uproot them. We might fear from the anti-India forces but we will keep on fighting for our nation.”

As I conclude it is important to mention that the 5th January 2020 violence was just the result of the frustrated Communists getting Red after they failed to thwart alternative ideas and dissent emanating from the ABVP. The Reds don’t know and can never understand that in ABVP, we put the nation before self and as students explore all possible avenues for national development and social welfare. Therefore, the only message that we the ABVPians can convey at this point of time is that ‘you may hurt us, but you will never ever break our spirit’. Jai hind !
