Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has shared a video on Twitter and Instagram, urging people to make contributions for the construction of Sri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
He also narrated a short tale of ‘Squirrel’ who also contributed in making ‘Ramsetu” from Ramayan to inspire his fans to make donations.
He began by saying that the previous night, he told his daughter Nitara, the story of a squirrel who wished to make her small contribution in the construction of the Ramsetu so that Bhagwan Ram could reach Lanka. Akshay Kumar said that Squirrel’s contribution must inspire everyone to contribute towards the making of Sri Ram Mandir in whatever way possible.
“Today, it is our turn. In Ayodhya, a large Mandir is being made for Bhagwan Shri Ram. Some of us should be the ‘Vaanars’, some of us should be the ‘Gilheris’, and make contributions that suit our capacity to this historical cause. I will be the one to begin. I am sure you will join me too so that the generations that will come after us will be inspired to follow life lessons that the righteous Bhagwan Ram taught us,” he said.

“It is heartening to know that the construction of our Sri Ram’s magnificent temple in Ayodhya has begun… Now it is our turn to make contributions. I have started, hopefully you will also join with. Jai Shri Ram,” he tweeted.
It is to be noted that President Ramnath Kovind also met with a delegation of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and had contributed Rs 500,100 on Friday, January 15, for the construction of the Sri Ram Mandir. #NidhiSamrapan4RamMandir abhiyan will be carried out across 525,000 villages from January 15 and will conclude on February 27.
