The Government of India, Ministry of Defence and Military Board Accounts Department, Co-Director, Lt Col Soumitra Mishra have sent letters of thanks to Dr Nishigandha Mogal
Dr Nishigandha Mogal said in a letter – In 1999 when the Kargil war took place, since then I had decided to do this for the Indian army. Five years ago I went to Kargil. I was surprised to see the atmosphere there. In such a frightening environment, the soldiers have sacrificed their lives by fighting in adverse conditions. We also have a duty towards our army. I decided to give the price of 55 tola gold to the army i.e. 20 lakh rupees and also fulfilled it. She also said that I’m satisfied by reading the response letter sent by the Indian army to me.
