Several CPM workers have been severely injured in a bomb explosion at a CPM-run Bomb making unit in Ponniam today. Ponniam is a CPM party village in Kannur district, where other political parties are not allowed to function.
The CPM workers were manufacturing bombs at the secluded place, when the incident happened. The police have recovered five steel bombs from the spot.
The injured party workers were shifted to a cooperative hospital in Kannur, which is controlled by the CPM.
So far, several RSS-BJP workers have lost their lives in CPM bomb attacks in Kerala, especially in Kannur district.
