Radical Islamist Ladeeda Farzana who called for Jihad in Dec 2019 targets nationalist news portal OpIndia; Demands Rs 50 lakhs for 'defaming' her

Calling OpIndia news portal as ‘RSS Machinery’, Ladeeda Farzana, the radical Islamist who called for Jihad in Dec 2019 which resulted in widespread violence in different parts of the country over CAA, has served a legal notice to the news portal. Terming her as a ‘well-known’ Students Rights Activist and a Social Activist, Ladeeda’s legal notice to OpIndia takes exception for the news items over her by the portal.
 
The notice terms the CAA which was passed by the parliament as ‘unconstitutional’ and eulogizes Ladeeda as one of the ‘icons of nationwide protests’ against CAA. “I have sent a legal notice against OpIndia. It’s been quite long since @OpIndia_com an RSS machinery has been spearheading hate campaigns throughout. And now it’s time for a legal retaliation against these forces of fascism..Need Your Support..”, she tweeted on Sep 1st.
 
As per the notice, Ladeeda is pained that OpIndia’s news items exposing her have received wide circulation in the country and shared among her ‘well-wishers’ causing ‘damage and reputation’ (sic) to her. “Your news report has reached a vast circulation by now through all social media platforms including Facebook and WhatsApp. It seems you have deliberately attempted in causing trouble to my client”, alleges the notice.
 
Citing Section 499 for defamation, Ladeeda’s notice demands that OpIndia pay up Rs. 50 lakhs within 7 days from receipt of the notice and also tender an unconditional apology to her. Failure to comply to these demands, the notice threatens of further legal action against OpIndia.
 
OpIndia has been steadfast in exposing the anti-national and Jihadi forces behind the anti-CAA protests and Delhi anti-Hindu riots which were caused by inflammatory speeches by people like Ladeeda Farzana. As recently as on August 2nd, Ladeeda had shared a image of Babri Masjid on Twitter and wrote, “Insha Allah, Never forget, never forgive. Izzath.” 
 
OpIndia had exposed Ladeeda’s shenanigans several times including when she openly gave a call for jihad on social media. It was after this call for Jihad that violence had erupted in several parts of India, especially Delhi and Uttar Pradesh where Muslim mobs went on a rampage rioting, burning property and targeting Hindus because they perceived that the CAA was against the Muslim community. OpIndia has also exposed how Farzana had glorified the genocidal maniacs who perpetrated the Moplah massacre of Hindus. 
 
Ladeeda Farzana came to limelight after she was glorified by secular sections of the media which hailed her as ‘shero’ for leading the Jamia Millia Islamia’s protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. However, her true intentions and radicalisation became apparent when her previous FB posts revealed her as one of the proponents of the Khilafat 2.0 movement.
