Samarasata Manch workers sweets to scavengers in Delhi
New Delhi: Samarasata Manch will celebrate the week from April 9 to April 14 as ‘Ambedkar Sewa Week’ in the memory of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the creator of the Constitution, who was born on April 14. Since there is nationwide lockdown to check the transmission of coronavirus and it is not expected to be lifted till April 14 the Samajik Samarasata Manch has decided to celebrate the birthday of Babasaheb for a full week in a new way. Since, doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, scavengers, police personnel and security guards are involved in the treatment of corona-infected patients across the country, during the week the Manch workers would express thanks to all these selfless social and public workers. Along with this, a programme will be organised to light lamps in the memory of Babasaheb in all the houses of the capital at 7.30 pm on April 14. Shri Anil Gupta, who is associated with the Samajik Samarasata Manch, said this is the best way to remember Babasaheb at the time of corona crisis and to follow the path shown by him.
