Amid countrywide lockdown following coronavirus, Shri Ramlala along with Bharat, Lakshman, Shatrughan and Shaligram, was anointed in a bulletproof structure near Manas Bhavan clearing the way for reconstruction of a grand temple in Ayodhya on March 25

The dream of billions of Hindus, living across the world, finally came true on the Varsh Pratipada Day (March 25, 2020) when Shri Ramlala Virajman came out from the tent, where He was anointed after the demolition of the disputed structure in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992, and occupied the silver throne in a new structure near Manas Bhawan in the Janmabhoomi premises. The anointment was performed with full rituals in the presence of senior saints, officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. With this, the first phase of the reconstruction of a grand Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple began at the birthplace in Ayodhya, which was legally reclaimed by the Hindus after a long battle of centuries and making countless sacrifices. With this the birthplace premises was cleared to allow reconstruction of the grand temple.
General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Trust Shri Champat Rai informed that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath anointed the ‘vigrah’ of Shri Ramlala at the specially built silver throne in the new building at the Brahma Muhurat of the first day of the new Samvatsar on March 25, 2020. The installation was done with full rituals. First the dress of the Bhagwan was changed and then the Aarti was performed. Then the ‘darshan’ began.
“The first phase of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple reconstruction was completed today. Mahant Kamalnayan Dasji, Mahant Sureshdasji from Digambar Akhara, Mahant Dinendrardasji, Mahant Shashikantdasji, Trust member Shri Bimlendra Mohan Mishra, Trust member Dr. Anil Mishra and the official of local administration were also present. Chief Minister Shri Adityanath donated Rs eleven lakh to Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust from his personal account. The new bulletproof structure for Shri Ramlala has been built with German pine wood and glass. The temple is 24 feet long, 17 feet wide, 19 feet tall. It has 35 inch ‘Shikhar’ on it. This wood remains unharmed in all kinds of weather, added Shri Champat Rai. The local administration did not allow people to gather on the occasion as a lockdown has been imposed across the country to check the spread of the coronavirus.
The rituals for shifting Shri Ramlala to new location formally began at 7.00 am on March 23, 2020 under the direction of central joint secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Shri Koteshwar Sharma and central secretary of VHP from Hamirpur Shri Ashok Tiwari, Shri Vimlendra Mohan Mishra and Dr Anil Mishra as ‘yajmaan’ by the Vedic priests from Prayag, Kashi, Mathura, and Ayodhya led by Pandit Keertikant ji from Delhi. The rituals were also joined by local MLA from Ayodhya Shri Vedprakash Gupt and District Magistrate of Ayodhya Shri Anuj Jha. Shri Ram Lalla will remain in the new structure till the construction of the Temple is completed on the site allotted for it by the Supreme Court in a landmark verdict in November 2019.
The 9.5 kg silver throne, where Shri Ramlala now resides, has been made by Jaipur-based artisans in Delhi. The descendant of the erstwhile royal family of Ayodhya Shri Bimlendra Mohan Pratap Mishra, who got the throne made, handed it over to the Trust general secretary Shri Champat Rai on March 23. Earlier, Shri Ramlala was sitting on a wooden throne since 1992.
The shifting process on March 25 began at 3.00 am and completed at 4.00 am. Chief Minister Shri Yogi had reached Ayodhya for this purpose in the evening of March 22 itself. Along with Shri Ramlala, the Vigrahs of His three brothers—Shri Bharat, Shri Lakshman, Shri Shatrughan, and Shaligram were shifted to the new structure. The ‘Vigrah’ of Shri Ramlala was carried to the new structure by Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath, while the Vigrahs of Bharat were carried by Shri Bimlendra Mohan Mishra, Lakshaman by Dr. Anil Mishra, Shatrughan by Shri Dinendradas and Shaligram Bhagwan by Mahant Suresh Das.
Talking to media after offering puja of Shri Ramlala at the new structure, Shri Adityanath said the first phase of reconstruction of Shri Ramlala temple is over. The new grand temple would be ready soon. Shri Ramala will now shower His blessing on us from the new throne. It is really auspicious day for the Hindus. This glorious moment has come after many centuries. We have prayed Shri Ramlala to bestow us the strength to fight the global pandemic of coronavirus.” Now the ‘darshan’ of Shri Ramlala will be available at this new structure. However, the devotees will not be allowed to visit the temple until the lockdown is lifted following coronavirus. The devotees will now be able to have ‘darshan’ of Shri Ramlala from a close distance.
Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya dedicated ‘Chhapan Bhog’ to Shri Ramlala, which was offered by Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders. Shri Maurya could not reach Ayodhya following countrywide lockdown. Arrangements for the live telecast of the shifting process were made by the Teerth Kshetra Trust.
Experts believe that the grand temple of Shri Ramlala will be built within two-three years. The levelling of the land is expected to begin on April 30. Bhoomipujan for the temple is expected to be performed in the last week of April. Any decision to this effect will be taken at the proposed meeting of the Trust in Ayodhya on April 4. According to Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Shri Champat Rai, Shri Ramjanmotsav will be performed in a simple manner following the security of the people this year.
