More than 21,000 devotees belonging to 1200 villages perform ‘Nama Japa’ and Abhishekam at VHP’s unique Laksha Kalasabhishekam

 
Srisailam: A 34-day long event involving people from all sections of the society was conducted by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). The Akshara Koti Shiva Panchakshari Sahitha Laksha Kalasabhishekam programme was conducted under the VHP’s Samajik Samarasata Abhiyan. The objective of the programme was to strengthen harmony in Hindu society. People from all sections of the society joined the Abhiyan.
 
 
The Abhiyan was formally inaugurated on December 22, 2019 by Governor of Andhra Pradesh Shri Bishwabhusan Harichandan. Five crore ‘Panchakshari Japam’ and ‘Laksha Kala Santhosham’ were done during the Abhiyan.
 
 
‘Om Namah Shivay’ Japa cards were issued in 1200 villages of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. During the 34 days between December 21, 2019 when the Abhiyan started, and January 23, 2020 when the programme concluded, more than 21,000 devotees joined the nama japa. During this period, 16 lakh japas and 3,200 Kalasabhishekams were performed each day in the villages involved.
 
 
Samajik Samarasata Abhiyan karykartas met 10 lakh families regarding the abhishekam and japam in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Unique events were held daily at several centres. At Shivaji Spoorthi Kendram in Srisailam, six different programkes were conducted daily. They included ‘Om Namah Shivay’ japam; Mahanyasa Sahitha Kalasha Pooja; Lectures on Desha, Dharma, Hindutva and Samarasata; Abhishekam to Shivalinga by each devotee individually; Samuhika Anna Prasadam; and Sanskritik programmes like Gita Saptaham, bhajans, kolatam, Nagar Sankirtan, Lambani/Girijan traditional dance, Bathukamma (of Telangana).
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Yatindrananda Giri Maharaj, Sri Atul Krishna Bhardwaj from Haridwar and Sri Sri Shiva Swami ji from Andhra Pradesh blessed the devotees. VHP central joint secretary general Shri Y. Raghavulu, Akhil Bharatiya Samajik Samarasata Abhiyan Pramukh Shri Devi Rawat, Shri Vinayakrao Deshpande, Samajik Samarasata Manch Convener Shri K. Shyam Prasad, RSS Telangana Prant Pracharak Shri Devendra ji and Shri Somayajula Nageswara Rao were the other prominent personalities who attended the Abhiyan.
