Bengaluru: On the occasion of ‘Raksha Bandhan’, the Rashtra Sevika Samiti Sevikas from Durga Shakha visited the Rashtriya Army Police Training Centre and tied Rakhi to 200 soldiers as a gesture of gratitude for their service to the nation. Brig. Raj Kumar had granted permission for the celebration and made the experience memorable for the Sevikas. Officer Shri Nayar took charge of the event and organised the celebration in a disciplined manner. The Sevikas introduced the purpose of their visit, Samiti ideology and read the message of Pramukh Sanchalika Sushri Shantakka written on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. There was a huge round of applause from everyone. Then the Sevikas tied rakhis to the young trainees who were in uniform and had pleasant interaction with each one of them. Every soldier shared their feelings and respect as a token of appreciation to the Samiti sisters.
After the celebration, Brig. Raj Kumar showed his gratitude by giving sweets and wished the best to all the Sevikas. Trainee soldiers had prepared snacks and provided for their gesture of tying rakhis. ‘It was indeed a proud moment to meet the trainee brothers who soon would be the protectors of our motherland’ said an excited Sevika. “We were overwhelmed by their humble gesture. Brig. Raj Kumar has invited us to come every year on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan” said another Sevika.
