Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh to hold nationwide campaign to save Public Sector

In the background of NITI Ayog listing 92 Public Sector Undertaking for disinvestment, a meeting of Public Sector National Coordination Committee of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh was held in Delhi

In the background of NITI Ayog listing 92 Public Sector Undertaking for disinvestment, a meeting of Public Sector National Coordination Committee of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh was held in Delhi. The meeting decided to hold nationwide ‘jagaran abhiyan’ (Awareness program) on “Save Public Sector” during the week from 1st to 7th September, 2019. Unit level meetings, dharna, processions etc. will be conducted.
 
On November 15, a mammoth National convention of PSU employees will be held at Delhi. The convention will prepare a policy document on the role of PSUs in nation building, release a Charter of Demands of PSU workers and declare future agitation program. As a prelude of it, Industry wise seminars, roundtable discussion of trade unions, management and experts will be conducted during July- August, 2019. At the national level, meetings will be held with policymakers and Government. Further, parliamentarians and other dignitaries will be contacted as a part of mass contact program.
 
The meeting was attended by Union representatives from sectors like COAL, NON COAL MININGS, BANKING, INSURANCE, STEEL, SHIPPING, PORT & DOCK and from PSENC which includes BSNL, MTNL, IOC, ONGC, FCI, Aviation, NTPC, NHPC,POWER GRID, GAIL, BHEL, HAL, HMT,BEL, BDL,NBCC, ITI, NTC, Pharmaceuticals/Health, HLL, Chemicals & fertilizers, FACT, IRE, NEEPCO, ALIMCO, BEML, ECIL, GAIL, HIL, HOC,Instrumentation etc.
 
The meeting was inaugurated by Shri C.K. Saji Narayanan, National President of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh. It was presided over by Shri Angusami, President, PSENC. Dr. B.K. Rai, Convenor, Coordination Committee, Shri Gokulanand Jena in-charge Public Sector, Shri B.Surendran, National Organising Secretary BMS and Shri Jagdishwar Rao, National Vice President, BMS spoke on the occasion.
