Swayamsevaks performing yogabhayas during the concluding ceremony of the Varg

Kishtwar: A week-long Prathmik Shiksha Varg of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was organised at Bharatiya Vidya Mandir. The Varg concluded on January 1. Varg Karyavah Shri Vinod Bhandari, Vibhag Pracharak Shri Rajinder Kumar and Veer Chakra winner Shri Lakshman Dass were present at the concluding function.

Shri Vinod Bhandari said only selected swayamsevaks from various parts of the district received organisational training at the seven-day Varg. He said Prant Pracharak Shri Rupesh Kumar, Sah Prant Sharirik Shikshan Pramukh and Sah Prant Sewa Pramukh Shri Chandrakant Sharma motivated the swayamsevaks during the Varg. Addressing the swayamsevaks Shri Lakshman Dass, who hails from Tagood, a very remote village, said such camps prepare the society for nation-building activities. The major outcome of such activities is the change in the mindset, which is required the most today.

Shri Rajinder Kumar said the basic foundation of RSS lies in its cadre and a strong cadre can be created by a strong willpower and proper training. He said the daily routine in the Varg included physical exercise and yoga in the morning, group discussions on various current issues, lectures and evening drills, training in unarmed combat techniques called ‘Niyuddha’, disaster management, service activities and rural development, security management, etc. He said there is nothing hidden in the RSS and everyone is welcome to study and know the organisation.
Zilla Sanghachalak Shri Roshan Lal Sharma pointed out that the swayamsevaks practised some sewa activities also during the Varg. Prominent citizens of the District were also present at the valedictory function.
