Promote Consensus in Cooperative

New Delhi: “The cooperative institutions direly need consensus during elections. Lack of consensus leads to bitterness in relations and hatred and ultimately the institution has to suffer. This also weakens the cooperative feeling,” said senior advocate and Delhi Prant Sah Sanghachalak of RSS Shri Alok Kumar while addressing a gathering of the people working in the cooperative sector. The function was organised by Sahkar Bharati Delhi as part of the conclusion of Sahkar Bharati founder the late Lakshmanrao Inamdar’s birth centenary on September 23.

The function was held at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology. Directors and office bearers of various cooperative institutions including credit societies, housing societies, urban banks, consumer stores, weavers society, Delhi State Cooperative Bank, Delhi State Urban Bank Federation, Group Housing Federation, women cooperative Sangh participated. The function was inaugurated by national general secretary of Sahkar Bharat Shri Udai Joshi.

Shri Joshi highlighted the role of the late Lakshmanrao Inamdar in the cooperative movement. He said the best tribute to him would be to inspire the people working in the cooperative sector to follow the ideals and values. He also stressed the need to start work in some newer sectors like education, health and energy. Dr Nand Kishore Garg, chairman of the Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, said the people active in the field of cooperative should show in practice the transparency and honesty. Some people were also felicitated on this occasion for their outstanding contribution to the cooperative sector.
