Bhubaneswar: RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat said due to diverse opinions, some countries are heading towards war. But the world trusts Bharat to escape that situation, so the Hindus living in Bharat must unite. All Bharatiyas would have to unite to establish peace in the world.
Addressing a two-day “Pravasi Karyakarta Sammelan” he said Bharat is an immortal nation. Hindutva is our culture, which has been running for thousands of years, binding Bharat in a thread and lending it strength. Hindutva is respecting all religions, castes, communities, viewpoints to keep them together. He said in spite of the oppression by the Mughals and the Britishers for many centuries, Hindutva has saved its basic ethos. We have been able to save our culture. In the entire world, there is an atmosphere of unrest and the entire world is looking towards Bharat for peace. Bharat has the strength to bind the entire world in a thread.
Former Chief Justice of Odisha High Court Justice Prafulla Kumar Tripathi said our culture searches for faith even in the agnostics. Purva Kshetra Sanghachalak Shri Ajay Kumar Nandi and Sanghachalak of Odisha Purva Prant Shri Samir Kumar were also present. n

Swami Laxmanananda murder case
Bhubaneswar: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) at its three-day Executive Committee and Board of Trustees meeting expressed unhappiness over the investigation into Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati assassination case. “10 years have passed since the gruesome murder of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati. Till now the murderers and conspirators have not been arrested. This is
unfortunate. It seems the State Government is trying to shield the culprits. We don’t have faith in the State Government’s investigation. This case should be handed over to the CBI,” a resolution passed at the meeting said.
More than 1,000 delegates from all over Bharat and abroad deliberated on various issues for three days at the meeting held from December 27 to 29. This meeting is held after three years.
Addressing a public rally after the meeting on December 29, VHP president Shri Raghav Reddy spoke and working president Dr Pravin Togadia reiterated: “Since its inception in 1964 the VHP has always worked for total well-being of the indus, protecting Hindu culture/civilisation, helping the Hindus in all aspects of life.” The VHP will continue to focus on eradicating untouchability and build Sri Ram Temple at Ayodhya, Dr Togadia added.

harmony in Maharashtra
New Delhi: RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya appealed for maintaining unity and harmony in the Maharashtra. “The recent incidents at Koregaon, Pune, and some other places in Maharashtra are very sad and painful. punished as per law. Some forces are trying to create hatred and animosity among communities. People should not fall prey to such nefarious tactics. RSS appeals to the public to maintain unity and harmony in the society, which have always been the top priority for the RSS,” Dr Vaidya said in a press statement issued on January 2. n
Learn social values from Vanvasis
Bhopal: The 20th national sports meet of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram was held from December 28 to 31. The archery and Kho-Kho competitions were held at Kamla Devi Public School Karond and the winners were felicitated at the concluding ceremony.
Addressing the gathering the Kalyan Ashram organising secretary Shri Somyajulu underlined the contribution of Vanvasis in nation building. He said Vanvasis have been with Sri Ram, Maharana Pratap and Shivaji and they have made sacrifices for the nation. Shri Nandkumar Sai said the so-called modern people should learn social values from the Vanvasis.
The sports was meet was inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan and the Sports Minister Smt Yashodhara Raje Scindia on December 28. The Kalyan Ashram joint organising secretary Shri Atul Jog said the large participation of Vanvasis in archery was going to create a world record, as such a large number of Vanvasis archers have never joined any event. n

Naimisharanya: In order to restore the pristine glory of the places associated with the ancient Indian wisdom like Naimisharanya, Sanskriti Naimesheya organised a
two-day Naimesheya Shankhnad in the first week of December, 2017. Naimisharanya is now under Sitapur District of Uttar Pradesh. The function was organised in association with the Department of Uttar Pradesh Tourism, Union Ministry of Tourism and Culture. The event began on December 7 with a yajna at Sun rise. Those who joined the yajna included Shri Adinath Mangeshkar, nephew of Lata Mangeshkar, Smt Krishna Mangeshkar, Dr Hema Hari and Dr DK Hari, Dr Sachidanand Joshi and Malvika Joshi, Shri Ajit Jena and Smt Jayanti Jena and others. Uttar Pradesh Governor Shri Ram Naik inaugurated the event in the presence of Dr Sonal Mansingh, film director Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi and other leading artists. Uttar Pradesh Tourism Minister Smt Rita Bahuguna was also present. The concluding ceremony was addressed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath.

Rise in conversion bids in Himachal Pradesh
Shimla: Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal
workers submitted a memorandum to Governor of Himachal Pradesh Acharya Dev Vrat against the growing conversion activities in the State. The memorandum was submitted through Deputy Commissioner of Shimla against the conversion of more than 50 people by Christian Missionaries at a village of Palampur.
Bajrang Dal Prant convener Shri Rajesh Sharma said the conversion bids are increasing in the State for some time and the innocent Hindus are being misguided through allurement and fraudulent means. The
conversion of people at Bhramat Village under Kangra District is part of the same activities. He said conversion is banned in the State since 2006 but the Missionaries managed some changes in the law in 2011 and again started the conversion. The VHP and Bajrang Dal has sought stern action against all those who are involved in the conversion activities. The State Government was also urged to curb such activities effectively. n

Jaipur: Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) in association with the MSME Rajasthan is jointly organising India Industrial
Fair-2018 at the JECC Sitapura Ground from January 5 to 8. Entrepreneurs and artisans from all over the country would display their quality products in the Fair. This
exhibition is held in the State by the Laghu Udyog Bharat for the last four years and it is the fifth exhibition. About 800 stalls are expected to be there this time. It will be open from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm and the entry will be free.
According to Shri Omprakash Mittal, former national president of Laghu Udyog Bharati, Start up Inspire Awards will be presented at the Fair. Women entrepreneurs will also be felicitated. Many private and Government companies from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Assam, J&K, Jharkhand, Haryana and Punjab will join the Fair. n
Narayan Rao is no more
Chennai: Noted educationist and first president of Tamil Nadu BJP, Narayan Rao, passed away on December 27. He was 85. Born in Masulipatnam on March 25, 1929, he was drawn towards the Freedom Struggle during the ‘Quit India’ Movement in 1942 when he was merely 13. He completed his schooling in Masulipatnam and collegiate education from the Andhra Christian College, Guntur. He became a Sangh swayamsevak during his college days. He was blessed personally by Sardar Vallabhai Patel in 1947, who urged him to continue his work in public life. His zeal and enthusiasm brought him to the forefront. He was known personally to Shri Guruji and Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya.
In Chennai, he set up ‘Kalaniketan’ in 1958 to produce movies and successfully produced a few Telugu movies with famous artistes like NT Rama Rao, A Nageswara Rao, Sowkar Janaki and many others. He came close to stalwarts like Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee, Shri LK Advani, Nanaji Deshmukh and others. He also became a Sangh Pracharak. n
