Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s constant refrain during his public meetings in the country or abroad is that the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is doing nothing for the poor and is working only for the rich industrialist with the hope that they will provide finance to his party during the election time. It is another matter that given the work Shri Modi has done for the poor—examples of which are numerous, starting from Jan Dhan Yojana to the Ujjwala scheme to the recently announced Saubhagya  electricity scheme—Rahul is making a mockery of himself. The general public is seeing these works for themselves. According to Rahul Gandhi industrialists are some kind of evil and therefore should be shunned. Should then one believe that India should go back to the dark ages of Communist ideology which brought poverty to the nation where it was practiced, and hence, given up once the Congress comes to power in alliance with other Opposition parties? This is serious matter concerning the economy of the country. Rahul Gandhi should clearly spell out the policy his Party wants to follow on this critical issue. Or should one understand that criticism on these vital economic issues is part and parcel of the Congress Party’s self-defeating strategy?

Communists are their Own Enemies
I read “Ex-comrade–Hammer of Discipline and sickle of justice” with  a  keen interest. It is a great tragedy that the comrades who were the founding fathers of the Communist movement were humiliated degraded and booted out of the movement in such an
nsulting manner. MN Roy was a great intellectual. He was at par with Lenin but he was humiliated and was expelled out of the movement. He spent the rest of his life as a disappointed man. Trotsky should have succeeded Lenin, but due to the mean tactics of Stalin he had to leave Russia. Even then he was
murdered in Mexico by the KGB (is the Russian-language abbreviation for State Security Committee). Long back I read an article about the assassination of Trotsky in the Tribune (Chandigrah). In the article it was said that when the killer struck his dagger in the head  of Trotsky he cried and said to  his wife, “These people have not left me even in faraway Maxico”. SA Dange was one of the founders of the CPI in India. He too was badly treated and in the end was expelled out of the party. His only fault was that he interpreted Marxism from the point of view of Hinduism. I have read many books of Dange. While
writing about Marxism he quotes
extensively from the ancient Hindu religious books to prove that in the  ancient Hindu society primitive Communism prevailed. Jyoti Basu was not allowed to become the Prime Minister of India by his own party due to the  jealousy of the big bosses of his own party.

It has been aptly described in the article titled ‘Not Merger, But Liberation’ by Dr Rahul A Shastri in Organiser about the atrocities which were carried by the then Nizam’s Government on the people of Hyderabad State and about the relation between Owaisi’s and Razakar’s. The basic fundamental rights were taken from the people, mainly from the Hindus who were
treated as third class citizens in the society and were tormented by the Razakars, those days. All sections of the society revolted against the Nizam. Thanks to the then Home Minister and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces who liberated the people of Hyderabad State (Now Telangana) from the Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan by
conducting Operation Polo by the Indian Army. But now the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) who has formed the Government in Telangana has
forgotten all those sacrifices of people who laid their lives for the formation of  the Hyderabad State, and is blindly
taking the support from Majlis (Owaisi’s) in their Government. And in the fear of losing their support they have changed the definition of Telanagana Liberation Day to Telangana Merging Day. These opportunistic stunts of TRS party will not last long, and the people will definitely show them what they want in the next elections. And Moreover Telangana Liberation Day should be officially
celebrated by the State Government which would be a real tribute to all those people who have sacrificed their lives for the formation of Telangana.

Stop Distributing Freebies
Successive Governments have failed to remove or alleviate poverty from the country though political parties
forming Governments have time and again pledged to do so. Having failed to do so, the Governments started indulging in distributing freebies to the economically weaker section of the society. The practice has become
infectious and the State after State are competing with one another. But
wherefrom are the states getting the resources to finance the freebie bonanza? The State is taxing the people who pay taxes on time. This is not an
anti-poor presentation but are the hard facts which make poor people lazier and depend on the State largesse.

withdrawal of the 100 day long protest which actually crippled both peace and development in Darjeeling for quite some time now, a prime producer of tea being supplied countrywide. In this way, the likelihood of tea prices
expectedly going to shoot up has been stemmed by Singh’s efforts just before the festive season.

Keeping Promises
Tall promises  to the voters is a
constant among all politicians but it is delivery on those promises which is the biggest differentiator. Here Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi scores big. The ‘Ujjwala Scheme, where gas connections are given to the impoverished households, played a crucial role for the BJP to capture power in Uttar Pradesh. Though gas connection is a very basic necessary household item, but in a country where we are still struggling to provide power to each home, it becomes a luxury for millions. Now coming to providing power to all, as committed by Shri Modi, it seems that more than
anything else, it is the control of power theft which will decide the fate of this promise.

This refers to the article titled ‘Stand up and be counted’ by Jaibans Singh in Organiser dated August 27 and ‘Articles of Inequality’ by Brig. Anil Gupta dated September 3, both
discussing Jammu & Kashmir
problems, and persuading the Muslims of Kashmir to make Kashmir a
paradise and to end Article 370 & 35-A which gives special status to Jammu & Kashmir. I am of the firm opinion that it would be harmful to make further experiments in Kashmir. Muslims of Kashmir are not interested in paradise, but in Islamic rule and an Islamic state. They openly say so, and some of them in twisted language to befool us. What I am saying is based on historical facts and teachings of Islam which do not allow true Muslims to tolerate
non-Muslims/Hindus. This is exactly what they have done, and expelled all Hindus. We must say, that Kashmir
has been part of India since time
immemorial. Muslims have already snatched almost half of original Bharat and the truncated Bharat cannot be allowed to be further divided by giving Kashmir to the Muslims. Let all Muslims, including those living in Kashmir go to their homeland Pakistan and Bangladesh created by them in 1947. Only those Muslims in Kashmir be allowed to live, who want to live peacefully without any political power. Again Independence Act of July 1947 passed by the British Parliament gave full powers to the rulers of the states to decide their future, as desired by Jinnah and the Muslim League. Pakistan is bound by this provision. Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir acceded to India, and there is nothing beyond it. In fact India should claim Tharparkar a Hindu majority districtof Sind and Chittagong Hill Tract, Buddhist region in Bangladesh.
