Vadtal:
The Central Governing Council of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) that met in Vadtal (Gujarat) from June 24 to 25 expressed concern over the imposition of tax on the prasad of Tirupati Temple and some other big temples of the country. Similar concern was expressed on imposition of taxes on agarbatties, dhoop, goghrit, idols and other material used for pooja by devotees. The VHP has written to the Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, in this regard requesting him to withdraw the taxes imposed on Hindu religious items as soon as possible.
In a resolution, the VHP demanded immediate scrapping of both the Minority Commission and Ministry of Minority Affairs as the very idea of a Minority Commission and Minority Affairs Ministry gives credence to a separatist mindset. It noted that the National Human Rights Commission is more than enough to take care of the rights of all citizens of the country. About 250 delegates from all over the country along with the sister organisations, Bajrang Dal, Durga Vahini, Ekal Abhiyan, Sewa, Dharma Prasar attended the meeting.
The meeting also asked the Government to enact a law for
construction of Sri Ram temple in Ayodhya without delay. The saints said it is strange that animal lovers who cry foul against ‘Jallikattu’ tend to look away when it comes to cow-slaughter. VHP warned the groups which organise beef parties and carry out barbaric cow-slaughter.  He said that by organising such parties, they hurt the sentiments of Hindus. While condemning the conspiracy to malign the gau-rakshaks the VHP stated that the gau-rakshaks were worthy of respect, they had to come out on the streets to save the cow because the police have failed to carry out this function.
The VHP lauded the incredible awakening of Hindus in Bengal. Being at the receiving end of jihadis, Communists and the Trinamool Congress workers for long, by coming out in lakhs on the occasion of Shri Ram Navami, they have told the world that they would no longer tolerate the atrocities of jihadis in Bengal. If the Mamata Government continues to support the jihadis, the Hindus will take the cudgels and fight their own battle with the jihadis.

RSS Working for Harmony

Bhivani: Senior Sangh Pracharak and National Executive Member of the RSS Shri Indresh Kumar said the Sangh is working to strengthen the foundation of the country. “As we require water, soap, etc to clean the outer dirt, we need satsang and good works to clean the internal dirt. The Sangh is basically working to clean the internal dirt by
creating the love and commitment to the nation through daily shakhas. Untouchability has no place in the Sangh. Creating untouchability-free Bharat is our prime objective,” he said while speaking at the concluding ceremony of the first year Sangh Shiksha Varga on June 22.
The senior Sangh Pracharak also stressed on women education. The Sangh is working to curb the ills like female
feticide, killing, rape, divorce, dowry and domestic violence. He further said the pro-China forces are trying to weaken the Indian economy by selling their products on cheap rates. “But these elements are not aware of the fact that the Indians are not weak and they would not allow any conspiracy to succeed. We all should use the products made in our own country so that our economy gets strengthen. Shri Mahavir Faugat and businessman Shri Nirmal Minda also spoke on the occasion. Varg Karyavah Shri Pradip Kumar, Varg Adhikari Shri Pawan Jindal and Varg Palak Shri Anam Kumar were also present.

Generating Self-Respect

Saharanpur: Noted economist and Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Dr Bajranglal Gupt said the Sangh has been working since its inception to create a harmonious society and make an economically and socially strong nation. He was addressing the concluding ceremony of first year Sangh Shiksha Varga on June 22. Dr Ajay Singh presided over the function. A total of 335 swayamsevaks from 10 districts of Meerut Prant underwent training in the Sangh Shiksha Varga.
Dr Gupt said the RSS founder Dr Hedgewar had set three goals before the Sangh. The RSS endeavours to ensure that temples should be open for all without any discrimination and nobody should be denied entry on the basis of caste, community or any other ground. Dr Hedgewar wanted that the water bodies should also be open for all. Equally, Dr Hedgewar wanted that there should be common crematoriums.
Dr Gupta stressed the need to change the economic and financial planning in the country. He said both Capitalism and Marxism have failed to curb exploitation and restore equality in the society. India needs such economic policies that make the 40 per cent population living below poverty line feel the change and empower them to the extent that they can fulfill their responsibilities themselves. He said the Sangh wants every citizen of the country to contribute in the nation building and make the nation strong enough so that nobody could dare to look at the country with any evil design. Dr Gupt also stressed the need to apprise the young generation of the glorious history and develop the habit in every person to use the natural resources judiciously.
Dr Gupt felicitated Baba Rijakh Das on the occasion. Minister of State Dr Dharma Singh Saini, yogacharya Dr Varunveer, Vibhag Sanghachalak Shri Ramesh Jain and scores of distinguished persons were also present on the occasion.
