(European Liberalism faces roadblock, June 4 ); The editorial titled ‘European liberalism faces roadblock’ of Organiser deals in detail with the route causes of terrorism and radicalisation. The retrospective version is very good.It has been rightly written that any ideology or religion that says ‘Mine is the only way’ is not in tune with our national philosophy that believes in ‘All ways lead to the same truth’. Whereas the foolish argument that one’s religious way or ideology is the only one to be emulated as other religions like Islam and Christianity feel cannot be in tune with our national ideology. Bharat believes in the well being of all and peaceful coexistence. That monotheistic and semitic idea of religion cannot be allowed to be imposed in the name of tolerance against the tradition of acceptance is what every Hindu feels. Unfortunately some of the intellectuals influenced by westernisation and some political parties driven by vote bank politics have indirectly encouraged the chaos existing in the country. Over liberalism towards other religions at the cost of Hinduism has created insecurity in the hearts of the Hindus. The failure of non BJP Governments which is crystal clear has made people of Bharat realise the importance of BJP as the party that is worth voting for. The result of the recent Assembly elections have cleared the point that there is no room in India for the forces that prefer European liberalism to non European roots of liberalism. Bharat is well-known across the world for its being kingdom of God and holy land of virtues and values. The Editorial is worth appreciating for it has brought many unknown facts into light.

Unhealthy Trend
(RSS Functionary’s Murder, an Act of Terror, May 7); This refers to the report in Organiser, titled ‘RSS Functionary’s Murder, an Act of Terror’. It is observed that if Muslims kill a Hindu, simply because he happens to be a true Hindu, as has happened in this case, there is no mention about it in the media since it is considered as no news. However there is a lot of hue and cry in the news papers and TV channels, if there is some reaction by the Hindus against the Muslims involved in ‘Love Jihad’ or cow slaughter. It is certainly a very bad situation that media continues to be anti-Hindu, in spite of the fact that a committed Hindu nationalist leader like Shri Narendra Modi is at the helm of affairs. Constitutional Hindu Rashtra is the only solution to curb this situation. Certainly Shri Modi can accomplish it.

Bitter Legacy of Kashmir
It is on record that as per provisions of Independence Act 1947, Maharaja of Kashmir handed over charge of his State to India and he himself ‘abdicated’ his throne. And this merger was final. The area occupied by Pakistan is under illegal occupation and we have got every right to take it back. If some resolutions of UNO are there, we can approach UNO for review of those resolutions because the provisions in the Independence Act, do not provide for any ‘Plebiscite’ and resolution of UNO to that effect needs review. The people who are expert in International Law must come forward and must take up this case. They may look into the matter afresh and take up the question when the Maharaja had handed over charge to India and he himself abdicated the throne.

Why criticise Gita Press
(A Manifestation of Bharat, April 23); This refers to the article titled ‘A Manifestation of Bharat’ by Shaan Kashyap in Organiser. I was surprised that the Times of India has written against the Gita Press Gorkhpur. As a religious minded person I am a fan of Gita Press. Whenever I come to India I go to Hardwar to buy Hindu religious books published by Gita Press. In fact the quality of the books published by Gita Press is very good and cost wise also they are affordable, it will not pinch your pocket. I like Gita Press so much that once I had purchased Bhagwat Puran from a book shop
situated in the main bazaar of Haridwar. Without seeing the publisher I purchased the book. While I was coming to the bus stand I suddenly checked the book. To my surprise it was not from Gita Press but from some other publisher from Mumbai. I asked the rickshaw puller to go back to the book shop. I went there and returned the book and bought instead Bhagwat Puran published by Gita Press.

Encashing the Crises
(Politicking on Farmers’ Strike June18); Apropos to the article titled ‘Politicking on Farmer’s Strike’ by Devidas Deshpande in Organiser. It is a known fact that whenever the grand old party i.e. the Congress fails to motivate its cadres to do any kind of fruitful work, it creates such conditions that riots take place. This time also after
getting badly defeated in the Assembly elections they created such conditions and motivated the agitating farmers for riots in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. All they do is to keep waiting for a right opportunity to spread violence, loot and unruly demonstrations. Nevertheless, the widespread unrest in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra was man-made and could have been handed in a better way. The Congress should have first drawn the attention of the Government towards the apathy of the farmers peacefully, before resorting to mobocracy. It is now abundantly clear that after losing State after State, the Congress is only wanting to stoke the fire to bring a bad name to the BJP Government. It is true that the farmers have genuine concerns. To solve the problems of the farmers, better cooperation among the political parties is the need of the hour.

Bogus Controvery
(The Losers’ Punchbag, April 23); This refers to the article titled ‘The Losers’ Punchbag’ by Subimal Bhattacharjee in Organiser. Now that only a fistful of parties attended the event organised by the Election Commission of India to let political parties demonstrate their ability in hacking the electronic voting machines (EVMs), this bogus controversy of the machines been rigged to allow the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) win in the recently held Assembly elections, must end. The loudest lamenters had been the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) both of which had blamed tampered-with EVMs for their defeats in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab respectively. The AAP had even gone to the ridiculous extent of calling a special session of the Delhi Assembly to demonstrate how the EVMs could be hacked. Instead of immersing themselves in a non-stop but ineffective commentary against the EVMs, the defeated parties must assess the real reasons for the debacle. After all even if one accepts the silly thought that the machines were rigged in the BJP’s favour, how does one take into account that thousands of these EVMs were rigged at the same tome across more than one State?

India’s Membership of SCO
Coming after almost a decade, India’s membership of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is highly significant in the sense that the Eurasian body has opened up new avenues for regional cooperation and institution building. Most importantly, the SCO forum seeks to strengthen confidence and relations among neighbouring member countries. Additionally, it seeks cooperation in a number of fields like politics, economics, security, trade, energy, and transportation among others. For India the membership is crucial for two reasons. First, one of the bloc’s primary objectives is to promote cooperation on security related issues viz, terrorism, separatism, and extremism. Secondly the SCO membership will open up trade, energy and transit routes for India. This will mean that India will get better economic access to the products of Central Asian countries. Simultaneously, India can find a market for its own products among the member countries of SCO.

Outrageous Remark One cannot even imagine that some people can get so low that just to gain cheap publicity they criticise and pass cheap comments against those people who are protecting the entire nation. Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit is one of those foul mouth persons. Sandeep Dikshit’s remark that the Army Chief is a “goon on the street”, is outrageous and prejudicial to the national interest. It wounds national sentiments and is a shattering blow to the morale of the Indian Army which is discharging difficult responsibilities like facing terrorists attacks emanating from Pakistan, and other foreign as well as indigenous threats. The Congress president should call for a satisfactory explanation from Dixshit regarding such an unfortunate comment against the Army Chief General Bipin Rawat and if necessary take strong action against such rash commentators. This mindless statement makes him a low profile politician. He must therefore be contemptuously condemned by all politicians, irrespective of their ideology. |
